The educational paths have as their common objective advanced training in the context of visual arts, performing arts, photography, restoration, and conservation of cultural heritage. They also aim at the knowledge and development of creativity in all its expressions, technical and poetic.

By virtue of the innovations introduced by the reform law n. 508 of 1999, the Academy currently issues academic diplomas of I and II level, which have been declared equivalent to the degrees issued by Universities; the most recent law n. 228 of 24/12/2012 established the equivalence.

The Academy of L’Aquila is therefore perfectly integrated in the context of the European educational system, based on the application of ECTS, adopting consequently the Diploma Supplement.
