Equipollence of degrees issued by Academies of Fine Arts

The law n.228, since December 24th, 2012, in order to increase the value of  the artistic and musical high Educational system and for the exclusive aim to get access to functional qualifications in the public sector, established that:

the first level Academic degrees issued by Academies of Fine Arts are equipollent to the Master’s degrees issued by the Universities as indicated in the Ministerial Decree March 16th, 2007.

2° level Equipollence

Second-level Academic Degrees:

 
are equivalent to a Master’s Degree in
History of Arts (Class LM-89)

Second-level Academic Degrees:

 
are equivalent to a Master’s Degree in
Art and performing Arts and Multimedia production (Class LM-65)

Law n. 228 also establishes that the academic second level diplomas awarded by the Academies of Fine Arts constitute entry to competitions for admission to courses or schools of doctoral research or specialization in the field of art, history art by universities.
